This is a basic project knit with knit and purl stitches — an easy stretch for beginners, but also meditatively satisfying for more advanced knitters. The shaping is minimal, based around strategically adding the heavier yarn for the last few inches and using a stretchy bind-off.
This piece, living up to its name, can be worn in a number of ways. Wrap it twice around your neck for a snuggly warm cowl, pull it up over your head for an elegantly stylish hood, let it dangle down infinity-scarf style, or pull it down over your shoulders for a light layer of warmth on cool evenings.
Yarns: 2 skeins Fidalgo Artisan Yarn’s Copper Twist (88% Superwash Merino, 12% Nylon, Copper. 50gm=218 yds.) or equivalent fingering-weight yarn. 25g Fidalgo Artisan Yarn’s Silk Shimmer (63% Silk, 23% Kid Mohair, 10% Nylon, 4% Polyester. 100gm=330 yds.) or equivalent sport-weight yarn.
Needles, Hooks, and Notions: US 7 (4.5mm) 24-inch circular needles and one stitch marker (optional).
